^20 (A)Go forth from Babylon!
Flee from the Chaldeans!
With a voice of singing,
Declare, proclaim this,
Utter it to the end of the earth;
Say, “The Lord has ^(B)redeemed
His servant Jacob!”

⁸ “Move^(A) from the midst of Babylon,
Go out of the land of the Chaldeans;
And be like the ^[a]rams before the flocks.

^6 (A)Flee from the midst of Babylon,
And every one save his life!
Do not be cut off in her iniquity,
For ^(B)this is the time of the Lord’s vengeance;
^(C)He shall recompense her.
^7 (D)Babylon was a golden cup in the Lord’s hand,
That made all the earth drunk.
^(E)The nations drank her wine;
Therefore the nations ^(F)are deranged.
⁸ Babylon has suddenly ^(G)fallen and been destroyed.
^(H)Wail for her!
^(I)Take balm for her pain;
Perhaps she may be healed.

⁹ We would have healed Babylon,
But she is not healed.
Forsake her, and ^(J)let us go everyone to his own country;
^(K)For her judgment reaches to heaven and is lifted up to the skies.

⁴⁵ “My^(A) people, go out of the midst of her!
And let everyone deliver ^[a]himself from the fierce anger of the Lord.
