Hebrews 10:32-11:3

³²But recall the former days when, after ^(A)you were enlightened, you endured ^(B)a hard struggle with sufferings, ³³sometimes being ^(C)publicly exposed to reproach and affliction, and sometimes being partners with those so treated. ³⁴For ^(D)you had compassion on those in prison, and ^(E)you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had ^(F)a better possession and an abiding one. ³⁵Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has ^(G)a great reward. ³⁶For ^(H)you have need of endurance, so that ^(I)when you have done the will of God you may ^(J)receive what is promised. ³⁷For,

^(K)“Yet a little while,
and ^(L)the coming one will come and will not delay;
³⁸^(M)but my righteous one shall live by faith,
and if he shrinks back,
my soul has no pleasure in him.”

³⁹But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.

By Faith

11 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of ^(N)things not seen. ²For by it the people of old received their commendation. ³By faith we understand that the universe was created by ^(O)the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of ^(P)things that are visible.
