The Danger of Unbelief

^12 (A)Take care, brothers and sisters, that there will not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart ^[a]that falls away from ^(B)the living God. ¹³ But ^(C)encourage one another every day, as long as it is still called “today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the ^(D)deceitfulness of sin.

¹⁵ For we do not have ^(A)a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been ^(B)tempted in all things just as we are, yet ^(C)without sin. ¹⁶ Therefore let’s ^(D)approach the throne of grace with ^(E)confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.

¹³ For if ^(A)the blood of goats and bulls, and ^(B)the ^[a]ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify for the ^[b]cleansing of the flesh, ¹⁴ how much more will ^(C)the blood of Christ, who through ^[c](D)the eternal Spirit ^(E)offered Himself without blemish to God, ^(F)cleanse your conscience from ^(G)dead works to serve ^(H)the living God?

A New and Living Way

¹⁹ Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we ^(A)have confidence to ^(B)enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ by ^(C)a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through ^(D)the veil, that is, through His flesh, ²¹ and since we have ^(E)a great priest ^(F)over the house of God, ²² let’s ^(G)approach God with a ^[a]sincere heart in ^(H)full assurance of faith, having our hearts ^(I)sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies ^(J)washed with pure water. ²³ Let’s hold firmly to the ^(K)confession of our ^(L)hope without wavering, for ^(M)He who promised is faithful; ²⁴ and let’s consider how ^(N)to ^[b]encourage one another in love and ^(O)good deeds, ²⁵ not abandoning our own ^(P)meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but ^(Q)encouraging one another; and all the more as you see ^(R)the day drawing near.

Christ or Judgment

²⁶ For if we go on ^(S)sinning willfully after receiving ^(T)the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

^11 (A)For the moment, all discipline seems not to be pleasant, but painful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterward it yields the ^(B)peaceful fruit of righteousness.

God-pleasing Sacrifices

^15 (A)Through Him then, let’s continually offer up a ^(B)sacrifice of praise to God, that is, ^(C)the fruit of lips praising His name. ¹⁶ And do not neglect doing good and ^(D)sharing, for ^(E)with such sacrifices God is pleased.
