⁸ And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool^[a] of the day, and the man and his wife ^(A)hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

^12 (A)And I ^(B)will walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be my people.

¹⁴ Because ^(A)the Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you and to give up your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy, so that he may not see anything indecent among you and turn away from you.

⁶ I have not lived in a house ^(A)since the day I brought up the people of Israel from Egypt to this day, but I have been moving about ^(B)in a tent for my dwelling. ⁷ In all places where ^(C)I have moved with all the people of Israel, did I speak a word with ^(D)any of the judges^[a] of Israel, whom I commanded ^(E)to shepherd my people Israel, saying, “Why have you not built me a house of cedar?”’
