Ephesians 5:3-6
New International Version
3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality,(A) or of any kind of impurity, or of greed,(B) because these are improper for God’s holy people. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk(C) or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.(D) 5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater(E)—has any inheritance(F) in the kingdom of Christ and of God.[a](G) 6 Let no one deceive you(H) with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath(I) comes on those who are disobedient.(J)

3 But fornication and all (A)uncleanness or (B)covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; 4 (C)neither filthiness, nor (D)foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, (E)which are not fitting, but rather (F)giving of thanks. 5 For [a]this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any (G)inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

3 But (A)sexual immorality [a]or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among [b]saints; 4 and there must be no (B)filthiness [c]or foolish talk, or vulgar joking, which (C)are not fitting, but rather (D)giving of thanks. 5 For this you know with certainty, that (E)no sexually immoral or [d]impure or greedy person, which [e]amounts to an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom (F)of Christ and God.
6 (G)See that no one deceives you with empty words, for because of these things (H)the wrath of God comes upon (I)the [f]sons of disobedience.

Amplified Bible
3 But sexual immorality and all [moral] impurity [indecent, offensive behavior] or greed must not even be hinted at among you, as is proper among saints [for as believers our way of life, whether in public or in private, reflects the validity of our faith]. 4 Let there be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse [obscene or vulgar] joking, because such things are not appropriate [for believers]; but instead speak of your thankfulness [to God]. 5 For be sure of this: no immoral, impure, or greedy person—for that one is [in effect] an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God [for such a person places a higher value on something other than God].
6 Let no one deceive you with empty arguments [that encourage you to sin], for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience [those who habitually sin].(A)
