⁷ For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, ^(A)a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; ⁸ a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; ⁹ a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills you can dig copper. ^10 (B)When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given you.

¹¹ “Beware that you do not forget the Lord your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today, ^12 (C)lest—when you have eaten and are ^[a]full, and have built beautiful houses and dwell in them; ¹³ and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold are ^[b]multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied; ^14 (D)when your heart ^[c]is lifted up, and you ^(E)forget the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; ¹⁵ who ^(F)led you through that great and terrible wilderness, ^(G)in which were fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty land where there was no water; ^(H)who brought water for you out of the flinty rock; ¹⁶ who fed you in the wilderness with ^(I)manna, which your fathers did not know, that He might humble you and that He might test you, ^(J)to do you good in the end— ¹⁷ then you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.’

¹⁸ “And you shall remember the Lord your God, ^(K)for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, ^(L)that He may ^[d]establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

The Cheerful Giver

^6 (A)But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows ^[a]bountifully will also reap ^[b]bountifully. ⁷ So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, ^(B)not grudgingly or of ^[c]necessity; for ^(C)God loves a cheerful giver. ^8 (D)And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. ⁹ As it is written:

¹⁰ Now ^[d]may He who ^(F)supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, ^[e]supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your ^(G)righteousness, ¹¹ while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, ^(H)which causes thanksgiving through us to God. ¹² For the administration of this service not only ^(I)supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God, ¹³ while, through the proof of this ministry, they ^(J)glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal ^(K)sharing with them and all men, ¹⁴ and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding ^(L)grace of God in you. ¹⁵ Thanks be to God ^(M)for His indescribable gift!

Ten Lepers Cleansed

¹¹ Now it happened ^(A)as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. ¹² Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, ^(B)who stood afar off. ¹³ And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

¹⁴ So when He saw them, He said to them, ^(C)“Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.

¹⁵ And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice ^(D)glorified God, ¹⁶ and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a ^(E)Samaritan.

¹⁷ So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? ¹⁸ Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” ^19 (F)And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”
