⁹ So ^(A)give Your servant ^[a]an understanding heart to judge Your people, ^(B)to discern between good and evil. For who is capable of judging this ^[b]great people of Yours?”

¹¹ And God said to him, “Because you have asked this thing, and have ^(A)not asked for yourself ^[a]a long life, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the lives of your enemies, but have asked for yourself discernment to understand justice,

²⁶ Then he said to him, “Did my heart not go with you, when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? ^(A)Is it a time to accept money and to accept clothes, olive groves, vineyards, sheep, oxen, and male and female slaves?

²⁵ “^(A)For this reason I say to you, ^[a]do not be ^(B)worried about your ^[b]life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?

³² For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for ^(A)your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

^16 (A)Be of the same mind toward one another; ^(B)do not be ^[a]haughty in mind, but ^[b]associate with the lowly. ^(C)Do not be wise in your own estimation.
