⁹ but just as it is written:

^10 [a](B)For to us God revealed them ^(C)through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the ^(D)depths of God. ¹¹ For who among people knows the thoughts of a person except the ^(E)spirit of the person that is in him? So also the thoughts of God no one knows, except the Spirit of God. ¹² Now we ^(F)have not received the spirit of ^(G)the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God.

^16 (A)Do you not know that ^(B)you are a ^[a]temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

³ Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking ^[a](A)by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is ^[b](B)accursed”; and no one can say, “Jesus is ^(C)Lord,” except ^[c](D)by the Holy Spirit.

⁴ Now there are ^(E)varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. ⁵ And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. ⁶ There are varieties of effects, but the same ^(F)God who works all things in all persons. ⁷ But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit ^(G)for the common good. ⁸ For to one is given the word of ^(H)wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of ^(I)knowledge according to the same Spirit; ⁹ to another ^(J)faith ^[d]by the same Spirit, and to another ^(K)gifts of ^[e]healing ^[f]by the one Spirit, ¹⁰ and to another the ^[g]effecting of ^[h](L)miracles, and to another ^(M)prophecy, and to another the ^[i](N)distinguishing of spirits, to another various ^(O)kinds of tongues, and to another the ^(P)interpretation of tongues. ¹¹ But one and the same Spirit works all these things, ^(Q)distributing to each one individually just as He ^[j]wills.

¹² For just ^(R)as the body is one and yet has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though they are many, are one body, ^(S)so also is Christ. ¹³ For ^[k](T)by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether ^(U)Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to ^(V)drink of one Spirit.

²⁸ And God has ^[a](A)appointed in ^(B)the church, first ^(C)apostles, second ^(D)prophets, third ^(E)teachers, then ^[b](F)miracles, then ^(G)gifts of healings, helps, ^(H)administrations, and various ^(I)kinds of tongues. ²⁹ All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of ^[c]miracles, are they? ³⁰ All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not ^(J)interpret, do they? ³¹ But ^(K)earnestly desire the greater gifts.

And yet, I am going to show you a far better way.

⁸ Love never fails; but if there are gifts of ^[a](A)prophecy, they will be done away with; if there are ^(B)tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away with. ⁹ For we ^(C)know in part and prophesy in part; ¹⁰ but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away with. ¹¹ When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I ^[b]became a man, I did away with childish things.
