¹⁶ Therefore I urge you, be ^(A)imitators of me. ¹⁷ For this reason I ^(B)have sent to you ^(C)Timothy, who is my ^(D)beloved and faithful child in the Lord, and he will remind you of my ways which are in Christ, ^(E)just as I teach everywhere in every church. ¹⁸ Now some have become ^[a](F)arrogant, as though I were not ^(G)coming to you.

⁹ for a ^(A)wide door ^[a]for effective service has opened to me, and ^(B)there are many adversaries.

¹⁰ Now if ^(C)Timothy comes, see that he ^[b]has no reason to be afraid while among you, for he is doing ^(D)the Lord’s work, as I also am. ^11 (E)So do not look down on him, anyone. But ^(F)send him on his way ^(G)in peace, so that he may come to me; for I expect him with the brothers.
