² And do not ^(A)be conformed to ^(B)this ^[a]world, but be transformed by the ^(C)renewing of your mind, so that you may ^[b](D)prove what the will of God is, that which is good and ^[c]acceptable and perfect.

¹³ No temptation has overtaken you except something common to mankind; and ^(A)God is faithful, ^[a]so He will not allow you to be ^(B)tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

¹⁶ But I say, ^(A)walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out ^(B)the desire of the flesh.

²² But ^(A)the fruit of the Spirit is ^(B)love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ gentleness, ^(C)self-control; against such things ^(D)there is no law. ²⁴ Now those who ^[a]belong to ^(E)Christ Jesus ^(F)crucified the flesh with its passions and ^(G)desires.

²⁵ If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow ^(H)the Spirit as well.

The Armor of God

¹⁰ Finally, ^(A)be strong in the Lord and in ^(B)the strength of His might.

⁷ For God has not given us a ^(A)spirit of ^[a]timidity, but of power and love and ^[b]discipline.

⁶ Therefore ^(A)humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time, ⁷ having cast all your ^(B)anxiety on Him, because He cares about you.

³ for His ^(A)divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true ^(B)knowledge of Him who ^(C)called us ^[a]by His own glory and ^[b]excellence. ⁴ Through ^[c]these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent ^(D)promises, so that by them you may become ^(E)partakers of the divine nature, having ^(F)escaped the ^(G)corruption that is in ^(H)the world on account of lust. ⁵ Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith ^(I)supply ^(J)moral ^[d]excellence, and in your moral excellence, ^(K)knowledge, ⁶ and in your knowledge, ^(L)self-control, and in your self-control, ^(M)perseverance, and in your perseverance, ^(N)godliness, ⁷ and in your godliness, ^(O)brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love.

^7 (A)Submit therefore to God. But ^[a](B)resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
