Peter’s Vision^(A)

⁹ About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof^(B) to pray. ¹⁰ He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance.^(C)

¹² “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? ¹³ And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. ¹⁴ In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.

⁴⁶ And Mary said:

³² “We tell you the good news:^(A) What God promised our ancestors^(B)

¹² Be joyful in hope,^(A) patient in affliction,^(B) faithful in prayer.^(C)

¹⁷ For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking,^(A) but of righteousness, peace^(B) and joy in the Holy Spirit,^{(C) 18} because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.^(D)

¹³ May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace^(A) as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.^(B)
