  1. In the tent of meeting, outside the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law, Aaron and his sons are to keep the lamps burning before the Lord from evening till morning. This is to be a lasting ordinance among the Israelites for the generations to come.

  9. On the eighth day he must take two doves or two young pigeons and come before the Lord to the entrance to the tent of meeting and give them to the priest.

But they must not touch the holy things or they will die. The Kohathites are to carry those things that are in the tent of meeting.
  14. Then on the eighth day they must bring two doves or two young pigeons to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
  15. “This applies to the Levites: Men twenty-five years old or more shall come to take part in the work at the tent of meeting,
  16. From now on the Israelites must not go near the tent of meeting, or they will bear the consequences of their sin and will die.
  17. It is the Levites who are to do the work at the tent of meeting and bear the responsibility for any offenses they commit against it. This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. They will receive no inheritance among the Israelites.
