  16. Moses answered, “As soon as I leave you, I will pray to the Lord, and tomorrow the flies will leave Pharaoh and his officials and his people. Only let Pharaoh be sure that he does not act deceitfully again by not letting the people go to offer sacrifices to the Lord.”
  17. Then Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord,
  18. Pray to the Lord, for we have had enough thunder and hail. I will let you go; you don’t have to stay any longer.”
  19. Moses replied, “When I have gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands in prayer to the Lord. The thunder will stop and there will be no more hail, so you may know that the earth is the Lord’s.
  20. Now forgive my sin once more and pray to the Lord your God to take this deadly plague away from me.”
  21. Moses then left Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord.
  22. The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect, and you may take them from the sheep or the goats.
  23. That same night they are to eat the meat roasted over the fire, along with bitter herbs, and bread made without yeast.
  24. For seven days you are to eat bread made without yeast. On the first day remove the yeast from your houses, for whoever eats anything with yeast in it from the first day through the seventh must be cut off from Israel.
  25. In the first month you are to eat bread made without yeast, from the evening of the fourteenth day until the evening of the twenty-first day.
