  1. Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed.

    These were the kings who reigned in Edom before any Israelite king reigned:
  18. Bela son of Beor became king of Edom. His city was named Dinhabah.
  19. Magdiel and Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom, according to their settlements in the land they occupied. This is the family line of Esau, the father of the Edomites.
  20. After leaving Sukkoth they camped at Etham on the edge of the desert.
  21. The chiefs of Edom will be terrified, the leaders of Moab will be seized with trembling, the people of Canaan will melt away;
