The Consecration of the Firstborn
‘When the Lord has brought you into the land of the Canaanites, as he swore to you and your ancestors, and has given it to you,

When my angel goes in front of you, and brings you to the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, and I blot them out,

And I will send the pestilence in front of you, which shall drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites from before you.

I will send an angel before you, and I will drive out the Canaanites, the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

Observe what I command you today. See, I will drive out before you the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
