When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”

Jesus Is the Christ
Jesus went away with his disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that I am?”

Philip, however, found himself at Azotus. And as he went from place to place, he preached the gospel in all the towns until he came to Caesarea.

When the brothers learned about this, they brought him down to Caesarea and sent him off to Tarsus.

Cornelius Sees a Vision
At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, who was a centurion in what was called the Italian Regiment.

The following day, he arrived in Caesarea. Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends.

“At that very moment, three men who had been sent to me from Caesarea arrived at the house where we were.

After Herod searched for him and did not find him, he questioned the guards and ordered that they be executed.
Herod’s Death
Then Herod went down from Judea to Caesarea and stayed there.

When he landed at Caesarea, he went up and greeted the church. Then he went down to Antioch.

To Caesarea
When we completed our voyage from Tyre, we arrived at Ptolemais. There we greeted the brothers and stayed with them for one day.

The next day, we left and came to Caesarea. We entered the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the Seven, and stayed with him.

Some of the disciples from Caesarea also went with us and brought us to Mnason, with whom we were to stay. He was from Cyprus and was one of the first disciples.

Then he called two of the centurions and said, “Get two hundred soldiers ready, along with seventy cavalry and two hundred spearmen, to go as far as Caesarea at the third hour of the night.

When the cavalry came to Caesarea, they delivered the letter to the governor, and they handed Paul over to him.

Paul on Trial Before Festus
Three days after Festus arrived in the province, he went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea.

However, Festus replied that Paul was being held in custody at Caesarea and that he himself intended to go there soon.

After spending no more than eight or ten days among them, he went down to Caesarea. The next day, he sat on the judicial bench and ordered Paul to be brought in.

Paul’s Hearing Before Agrippa
Some days later, King Agrippa and Bernice arrived at Caesarea to pay their respects to Festus.
