Proverbs 9:7-9

General Maxims
7 Whoever corrects a scoffer wins abuse;
whoever rebukes the wicked gets hurt.(A)
8 Do not rebuke a scoffer, lest he hate you;
rebuke the wise, and he will love you.(B)
9 Give instruction[a] to the wise, and they will become wiser still;
teach the righteous, and they will gain in learning.(C)
