29 [a]Brethren, I may confidently say to you regarding the (A)patriarch David that he both (B)died and (C)was buried, and (D)his tomb is [b]with us to this day. 30 And so, because he was (E)a prophet and knew that (F)God had sworn to him with an oath to seat one [c]of his descendants on his throne, 31 he looked ahead and spoke of the resurrection of [d]the Christ, that (G)He was neither abandoned to Hades, nor did His flesh [e]suffer decay. 32 This Jesus (H)God raised up again, to which we are all (I)witnesses. 33 Therefore having been exalted [f](J)to the right hand of God, and (K)having received from the Father (L)the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has (M)poured forth this which you both see and hear. 34 For it was not David who ascended into [g]heaven, but he himself says:

(N)The Lord said to my Lord,
Sit at My right hand,
35 Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”’

36 Therefore let all the (O)house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both (P)Lord and [h]Christ—this Jesus (Q)whom you crucified.”

The Ingathering

37 Now when they heard this, they were [i]pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “[j]Brethren, [k](R)what shall we do?” 38 Peter said to them, “(S)Repent, and each of you be (T)baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For (U)the promise is for you and your children and for all who are (V)far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” 40 And with many other words he solemnly (W)testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, “[l]Be saved from this (X)perverse generation!” 41 So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand [m](Y)souls. 42 They were (Z)continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to (AA)the breaking of bread and [n](AB)to prayer.

43 [o]Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many (AC)wonders and [p]signs were taking place through the apostles. 44 And all those who had believed [q]were together and (AD)had all things in common; 45 and they (AE)began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. 46 (AF)Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and (AG)breaking bread [r]from house to house, they were taking their [s]meals together with gladness and [t]sincerity of heart, 47 praising God and (AH)having favor with all the people. And the Lord (AI)was adding [u]to their number day by day (AJ)those who were being saved.
