  1. Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded to plant a vineyard.

  18. So they called Rebekah and asked her, “Will you go with this man?” “I will go,” she said.
  19. Then Rebekah and her attendants got ready and mounted the camels and went back with the man. So the servant took Rebekah and left.
  20. and asked the servant, “Who is that man in the field coming to meet us?” “He is my master,” the servant answered. So she took her veil and covered herself.
  21. Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man and full of years; and he was gathered to his people.
  22. The boys grew up, and Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the open country, while Jacob was content to stay at home among the tents.
  23. So Abimelek gave orders to all the people: “Anyone who harms this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.”
  24. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.
  25. He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him.
