Using a scheduled plan to guide you in your Bible reading is an efficient and effective way to know God better through his Word. Bible Gateway’s free Bible Audio App offers you several reading plans from which to choose to simultaneously read and hear Scripture portions every day at your own pace and within your own schedule. Here’s a quick guide to finding the reading plans:

If you haven’t already downloaded the free app, read about it here. The Bible Audio App is available for download in both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Once you’ve downloaded it, open it.

Select Your Bible Reading Method: Tap the upper left corner of your screen where a title of a Bible book already appears. The “Go to Passage” window will open.

Select Bible or Plans: At the top of the screen are two buttons: “Bible” and “Plans.” The “Bible” mode allows you to scroll through a list of each book and chapter of the Bible. To read and hear a Scripture portion of your choosing, tap the appropriate book title and chapter number and tap “Go” in the upper right corner. Or to select a reading plan that will guide you along through God’s Word, tap the “Plans” button at the top of your screen.

Select a Bible Reading Plan: The “Plans” window lists available Bible reading plans:

• Old/New Testament: Each day includes a passage from both the Old Testament and New Testament.
• Chronological: Read the Bible in the chronological order in which its stories and events occurred.
• Beginning: Read the Bible from start to finish, from Genesis to Revelation.
• New Testament in a Year: Read the New Testament from start to finish, from Matthew to Revelation.
• M’Cheyne: The classic M’Cheyne plan where a reading from the Old Testament, New Testament, and Psalms or Gospels is presented every day.

Tap one of the plans and tap “Go” in the upper right corner. The Bible Audio App will now automatically lead you each day through Scripture according to the plan you selected.
