Be Inspired By Biblical Stories of Gratitude

Every year, the Thanksgiving holiday serves as a reminder for us to give thanks to our Creator. Many of us find it easier to focus on aspects of the season’s stress—the demands of family and work and homemaking, packed into shortening days. But the Bible has some radical advice for anyone who wants to live differently:

…give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.1 Thessalonians 5:15-18 (NIV)

In all circumstances. How difficult that so often is! We need all the help—all the training in gratitude—we can get our hands on. Fortunately, the Bible has a lot of lessons in gratitude. What would it look like for us to be students of gratitude over the course of this season? To help with this, Bible Gateway is offering the free Give Thanks email devotional.
