Bible Gateway says farewell to lead developer

Last month, the Bible Gateway bid farewell to its lead developer, Ron Veenstra, who has accepted a position at Agathon Group.

Ron has been a key member of the Bible Gateway development team for over five years. While at Gospel Communications, he led a major redesign of the Bible Gateway and helped design and code the search engine that powers it. He was also responsible for making many of the Bible Gateway’s versions and translations available online, transferring them from their source text and incorporating them into the Bible Gateway.

Joining the development team in the wake of Ron’s departure is Luke Baker, who has worked as a system administrator at Gospel Communications for several years and has worked closely with Ron and the Bible Gateway team.

Ron will be sorely missed, but we wish him all the best at his new position with Agathon Group!
