Song of Solomon 8:7

“Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it; if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.”

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love, Neither can floods drown it: If a man would give all the substance of his house for love, He would utterly be contemned.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man would offer all the goods of his house for love, he would be utterly scorned and despised.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Rushing waters can’t quench love;
        rivers can’t wash it away.
If someone gave
        all his estate in exchange for love,
        he would be laughed to utter shame.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

No amount of water can quench love,
torrents cannot drown it.
If someone gave all the wealth in his house for love,
he would gain only utter contempt.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Love cannot be drowned
    by oceans or floods;
it cannot be bought,
    no matter what is offered.

Their Friends Speak:

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love, Neither do the floods drown it: Even if a man gave all the substance of his house for love, It would utterly be contemned.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench charity, neither can the floods drown it: if a man should give all the substance of his house for love, he shall despise it as nothing.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

A flood cannot put out love.
    Rivers cannot drown love.
Would people despise a man for giving
    everything he owns for love?

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love,
    neither can floods drown it.
If a man offered for love
    all the wealth of his house,
    he would be utterly despised.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love,
    neither can floods drown it.
If a man offered for love
    all the wealth of his house,
    he would be utterly despised.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Even much water cannot put out the flame of love;
    floods cannot ·drown [flood] love.
If a man offered ·everything [L all the wealth] in his house for love,
    ·people would totally reject it [or he would be completely despised].

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Much water cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man should give all the substance of his house for love, they would greatly contemn it.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

            Raging water cannot extinguish love,
                and rivers will never wash it away.
    If a man exchanged all his family’s wealth for love,
    people would utterly despise him.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Water cannot put it out;
    no flood can drown it.
But if any tried to buy love with their wealth,
    contempt is all they would get.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Mighty waters cannot extinguish love;
rivers cannot sweep it away.
If a man were to give all his wealth for love,
it would be utterly scorned.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

The many waters cannot quench love, neither can the rivers drown it; if a man would give all the substance of his house for this love, it would certainly be despised.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love,
neither can the floods drown it:
if a man would give all the substance of his house for love,
it would utterly be contemned.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love;
    rivers cannot sweep it away.
If a man were to give all the wealth of his house for love,
    he would be utterly scorned.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench the flame of love, neither can the floods drown it. If a man tried to buy it with everything he owned, he couldn’t do it.”

The Girl’s Brothers:

Song of Solomon 8:7X

The Woman

6-8 Hang my locket around your neck,
    wear my ring on your finger.
Love is invincible facing danger and death.
    Passion laughs at the terrors of hell.
The fire of love stops at nothing—
    it sweeps everything before it.
Flood waters can’t drown love,
    torrents of rain can’t put it out.
Love can’t be bought, love can’t be sold—
    it’s not to be found in the marketplace.
My brothers used to worry about me:

Song of Solomon 8:7X

            Raging water cannot extinguish love,
                and rivers will never wash it away.
    If a man exchanged all his family’s wealth for love,
    people would utterly despise him.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

“Many waters cannot quench love,
Nor will rivers overflow it;
If a man were to give all the riches of his house for love,
It would be utterly despised.”

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Even much water cannot put out the flame of love;
    floods cannot drown love.
If a man offered everything in his house for love,
    people would totally reject it.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Surging waters cannot quench love;
floodwaters cannot overflow it.
If someone were to offer all his possessions to buy love,
the offer would be utterly despised.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

No amount of water can put it out.
    Rivers can’t drown it.
Suppose someone offers
    all of his wealth to buy love.
    That won’t even come close to being enough.”

The woman’s brothers say,

Song of Songs 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love;
    rivers cannot sweep it away.
If one were to give
    all the wealth of one’s house for love,
    it would be utterly scorned.

Song of Songs 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love;
    rivers cannot sweep it away.
If one were to give
    all the wealth of one’s house for love,
    it would be utterly scorned.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love,
Nor can the floods drown it.
If a man would give for love
All the wealth of his house,
It would be utterly despised.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot put out love. Rivers cannot cover it. If a man were to give all the riches of his house for love, it would all be hated.”

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love,
    nor can rivers drown it.
If a man tried to buy love
    with all his wealth,
    his offer would be utterly scorned.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love,
    neither can floods drown it.
If one offered for love
    all the wealth of one’s house,
    it would be utterly scorned.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love,
    neither can floods drown it.
If one offered for love
    all the wealth of one’s house,
    it would be utterly scorned.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love,
    neither can floods drown it.
If one offered for love
    all the wealth of one’s house,
    it would be utterly scorned.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love,
    neither can floods drown it.
If one offered for love
    all the wealth of one’s house,
    it would be utterly scorned.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Mayim rabbim (many waters) cannot quench HaAhavah, neither can the floods drown it; if a man would give all the wealth of his bais for ahavah, it would be utterly scorned.

Shir Hashirim 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love,
    neither can floods drown it.
If a man offered for love
    all the wealth of his house,
    it would be utterly scorned.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters cannot quench love,
    neither can floods drown it.
If a man offered for love
    all the wealth of his house,
    it would be utterly scorned.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

    No amount of water can quench love;
        a raging flood cannot drown it out.
    If a person tried to exchange all of his wealth for love,
        then he would be surely rejected.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters can’t quench love,
    neither can floods drown it.
If a man would give all the wealth of his house for love,
    he would be utterly scorned.

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters be not able to quench charity, neither floods shall oppress it. Though a man give all the chattel of his house for love, he shall despise, or reckon it, as nought. (A great many waters be not able to drown love, nor can the floods sweep it away. And even though a man might give all the possessions of his house for love, he shall reckon it as but nothing, or of no consequence.)

Song of Solomon 8:7X

Many waters are not able to quench the love, And floods do not wash it away. If one give all the wealth of his house for love, Treading down -- they tread upon it.
