  1. I am now eighty years old. Can I tell the difference between what is enjoyable and what is not? Can your servant taste what he eats and drinks? Can I still hear the voices of male and female singers? Why should your servant be an added burden to my lord the king?

  9. The whole assembly responded with a loud voice: “You are right! We must do as you say.
  10. Standing on the stairs of the Levites were Jeshua, Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani and Kenani. They cried out with loud voices to the Lord their God.
  11. It stopped, but I could not tell what it was. A form stood before my eyes, and I heard a hushed voice:
  12. the voices of the nobles were hushed, and their tongues stuck to the roof of their mouths.
  13. Listen! Listen to the roar of his voice, to the rumbling that comes from his mouth.
  14. After that comes the sound of his roar; he thunders with his majestic voice. When his voice resounds, he holds nothing back.
  15. God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding.
  16. “Can you raise your voice to the clouds and cover yourself with a flood of water?
  17. Do you have an arm like God’s, and can your voice thunder like his?
  18. In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.

  25. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
