  10. By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.
  11. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
  12. Warning and Encouragement

    Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
  13. See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
  14. See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son.
  15. See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven?
  16. I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been released. If he arrives soon, I will come with him to see you.
