    In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach
  2. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”
  3. They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.

  24. His speech persuaded them. They called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
  25. Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.
