  1. Jesus Walks on the Water

    Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd.

    One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out.
  13. As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.
  14. Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them, because they were overcome with fear. So he got into the boat and left.

  19. Then some boats from Tiberias landed near the place where the people had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks.
  20. Once the crowd realized that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum in search of Jesus.
  21. “I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.
  22. He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
  23. The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards.
  24. So Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn.
