Jesus Foretells His Death

^21 (A)From that time ^[a]Jesus began to ^[b]point out to His disciples that it was necessary for Him to go to Jerusalem and to ^(B)suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised up on the third day.

^16 (A)And someone came to Him and said, “Teacher, what good thing shall I do so that I may obtain ^(B)eternal life?”

^31 (A)And He began to teach them that ^(B)the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise from the dead.

¹⁵ When he returned after receiving the kingdom, he ordered that these slaves, to whom he had given the money, be summoned to him so that he would learn how much they had made by the business they had done.

²¹ Therefore it is necessary that of the men who have accompanied us all the time that ^(A)the Lord Jesus went in and out ^[a]among us—
