³⁸ Peter said to them, “^(A)Repent, and each of you be ^(B)baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁸ When they heard this, they ^[a]quieted down and ^(A)glorified God, saying, “Well then, God has also granted to the Gentiles the ^(B)repentance that leads to life.”

²⁰ but continually proclaimed ^(A)to those in Damascus first, and ^(B)in Jerusalem, and then all the region of Judea, and even ^(C)to the Gentiles, that they are to ^(D)repent and turn to God, performing deeds ^(E)consistent with repentance.
