^30 (A)And after singing a ^[a]hymn, they went out to ^(B)the Mount of Olives.

³¹ Then Jesus *said to them, “You will all ^[b](C)fall away because of Me this night, for it is written: ‘^(D)I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be ^(E)scattered.’ ³² But after I have been raised, ^(F)I will go ahead of you to Galilee.” ³³ But Peter replied to Him, “Even if they all ^[c]fall away because of You, I will never fall away!” ³⁴ Jesus said to him, “^(G)Truly I say to you that ^(H)this very night, before a rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” ³⁵ Peter *said to Him, “^(I)Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” All the disciples said the same thing as well.

^27 (C)And Jesus *said to them, “You will all ^[b]fall away, because it is written: ‘^(D)I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’ ²⁸ But after I am raised, ^(E)I will go ahead of you to Galilee.” ²⁹ But Peter said to Him, “Even if they all ^[c]fall away, yet I will not!” ³⁰ And Jesus *said to him, “Truly I say to you, that ^[d](F)this very night, before ^(G)a rooster crows twice, you yourself will deny Me three times.” ³¹ But ^[e]Peter repeatedly said insistently, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And they all were saying the same thing as well.

³¹ “Simon, Simon, behold, ^(A)Satan has ^[a]demanded to ^(B)sift you men like wheat; ³² but I ^(C)have prayed for ^[b]you, that ^[c]your faith will not fail; and ^[d]you, when you have ^[e]turned back, ^(D)strengthen your brothers.” ^33 (E)But he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You both to prison and to death!” ³⁴ But He said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me.”
