8 They have quickly turned away from what I commanded them. They have made themselves a metal statue of a god in the shape of a calf. They have bowed down and sacrificed to it. And they have said, ‘Israel, here is your god who brought you up out of Egypt.’
9 “I have seen these people,” the Lord said to Moses. “They are stubborn. 10 Now leave me alone. I will destroy them because of my great anger. Then I will make you into a great nation.”

8 They have been quick to turn away(A) from what I commanded them and have made themselves an idol(B) cast in the shape of a calf.(C) They have bowed down to it and sacrificed(D) to it and have said, ‘These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.’(E)
9 “I have seen these people,” the Lord said to Moses, “and they are a stiff-necked(F) people. 10 Now leave me alone(G) so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy(H) them. Then I will make you into a great nation.”(I)
