The season of Advent is all about waiting in expectation and anticipation of a Savior promised long ago. So at Christmas, we wait with expectation for the arrival of Christ in the manger and honor and celebrate the fact that He came; that God came through on His long awaited promise.
As a child, all I wanted was to celebrate Advent with a little chocolate calendar. As it turns out, Advent is about more than sweet treats — and it is something worth celebrating.
