Hagar’s children, who seek earthly understanding, the traders of Merran and Teman, the storytellers and knowledge seekers, haven’t learned the way of Wisdom, nor have they remembered her paths.
The children of Agar also, that search after the wisdom that is of the earth, the merchants of Merrha, and of Theman, and the tellers of fables, and searchers of prudence and understanding: but the way of wisdom they have not known, neither have they remembered her paths.
although they search after knowledge. The way to Wisdom has not been found by the merchants of Merran and Tema or by those who relate fables or by any others who seek understanding.
The descendants of Hagar who seek knowledge on earth, the merchants of Medan and Tema, the storytellers and those seeking knowledge— These have not known the way to wisdom, nor have they kept her paths in mind.
The descendants of Hagar who seek after worldly wisdom, the merchants of Midian and Teman, the storytellers and the searchers for understanding— these have not discovered the way to wisdom or even remembered her paths.
