Job 38:1

38:1 the Lord. The divine covenant name is now used again, as in the prologue, showing that the author was an Israelite. Job and the counselors use other divine epithets, like “God,” and “the Almighty.” Job 12:9 is the only place where Job or the counselors use “Yahweh,” and some manuscripts have “God” even there. Job was evidently not an Israelite.
