Ezek 21:18–23

21:18–23 Nebuchadnezzar would be coming from the north, approaching a fork in the road. Ezekiel probably drew a map something like an inverted “Y” scratched in the dirt or on a brick (4:1–3 note). Coming from the north, the left fork in the road would take the Babylonian armies down the “King’s Highway,” a major highway passing through Jordan. The right fork would take the Babylonians down the “Via Maris,” an important international highway on the coastal plain west of Jerusalem. These highways met near Damascus.
