Ezek 1:27

1:27 brightness. The light radiating from the divine presence is overwhelming (Dan. 7:9), for God dwells “in unapproachable light” (1 Tim. 6:16). No one has seen God, and Ezekiel does not dare to describe Him. He can speak only of “the appearance of the likeness of the glory” of the Lord (1:28), a way of speaking essentially three steps removed from a direct description of God.
