26:31 make a veil. The interior of the tabernacle tent was to be divided by the “veil of the screen” (39:34; 40:21; Num. 4:5), separating the inner Most Holy Place from the outer Holy Place. This veil was a tapestry that hung thirty feet from the entrance to the tent, creating an inner cube fifteen feet square where the ark was kept. This was the Most Holy Place, the throne room where the Lord would meet with Israel’s high priest on the Day of Atonement. The Holy Place, a royal antechamber, extended thirty feet from the veil to the tent entrance.
