Acts 3:14

3:14 denied the Holy and Righteous One. The phrase “the Holy,” referring to God, appears a number of times in the Old Testament. The phrase “the Holy One of Israel” occurs in Is. 1:4 and 5:24 (cf. Luke 1:35). Isaiah also speaks of God as “the Righteous One” (Is. 24:16; cf. Acts 7:52; 22:14). In applying this description to Jesus, Peter indicates the deity of Christ.
