22:7 In my distress. Being in a narrow or tightly confined space is a common figure for distress. In v. 20 (note) relief is described as being brought into a ‘‘broad place.‘

From his temple. This probably means God’s heavenly sanctuary (1 Kin. 8:27, 38–39; Ps. 11:4; Is. 6:1; Jon. 2:7; Rev. 11:19; 14:17; 15:5).
