29:24 all Israel. In connection with the reunited kingdom (chs. 29–36), the expression “all Israel” (30:1; 31:1; 35:3) refers to both Judah together with the refugees from the northern tribes (1 Chr. 11:1 note; 2 Chr. 10:1 note). Hezekiah ordered sacrifices to be offered, not for Judah only (v. 21), but for all the descendants of Israel. This desire to unite is clearly expressed in his arrangements for the Passover (30:1–6).
