Talmon [Tăl'mon]—oppressor or violent. A Levite porter and founder of a tribal family, members of which returned with Zerubbabel and served as porters in the new Temple (1 Chron. 9:17; Ezra 2:42; Neh. 7:45; 11:19; 12:25).
