Shemidah, Shemida [Shēmī'dah,Shēmī'dă]—fame of knowing or science of the heavens. A son of Gilead and grandson of Manasseh (Num. 26:32; Josh. 17:2; 1 Chron. 7:19). Founder of a tribal family (Num. 26:32).
