Jehonadab, Jonadab [Jēhŏn'adăb, Jŏn'a dăb]—jehovah is liberal.

  1. Son of Shimeah, David’s brother, and the friend of Ammon the son of David, who is described as “a very subtil man” (2 Sam. 13:3, 32).
  2. Son of Rechab, a Kenite, who composed the rules imposed upon the Rechabites (2 Kings 10:15, 23).
