  1. For we are not overextending ourselves, as if we did not reach to you, for we were the first to come even as far as you in the gospel of Christ;

  9. Paul Defends His Ministry

    For I would have you know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel which was preached by me is not of human invention.
  10. It was because of a revelation that I went up; and I submitted to them the gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but I did so in private to those who were of reputation, for fear that somehow I might be running, or had run, in vain.
  11. But we did not yield in subjection to them, even for an hour, so that the truth of the gospel would remain with you.

  22. The Gospel Is Preached

    Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel,
  23. the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel;
  24. Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
  25. But you know of his proven character, that he served with me in the furtherance of the gospel like a child serving his father.
