  1. When Moses entered the tent of meeting to speak with the Lord, he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the atonement cover on the ark of the covenant law. In this way the Lord spoke to him.

  8. If you put all these people to death, leaving none alive, the nations who have heard this report about you will say,
  9. “How long will this wicked community grumble against me? I have heard the complaints of these grumbling Israelites.
  10. So tell them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very thing I heard you say:
  11. You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the Lord, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.
  12. When Moses heard this, he fell facedown.

  24. But if her husband nullifies them when he hears about them, then none of the vows or pledges that came from her lips will stand. Her husband has nullified them, and the Lord will release her.
  25. But if her husband says nothing to her about it from day to day, then he confirms all her vows or the pledges binding on her. He confirms them by saying nothing to her when he hears about them.
