Psalm 63
New International Version
Psalm 63[a]
A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah.
1 You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,(A)
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.(B)
2 I have seen you in the sanctuary(C)
and beheld your power and your glory.(D)
3 Because your love is better than life,(E)
my lips will glorify you.
4 I will praise you as long as I live,(F)
and in your name I will lift up my hands.(G)
5 I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;(H)
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.
6 On my bed I remember you;
I think of you through the watches of the night.(I)
7 Because you are my help,(J)
I sing in the shadow of your wings.(K)
8 I cling to you;(L)
your right hand upholds me.(M)

Daniel 9:3-10
New International Version
3 So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting,(A) and in sackcloth and ashes.(B)
4 I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed:(C)
“Lord, the great and awesome God,(D) who keeps his covenant of love(E) with those who love him and keep his commandments, 5 we have sinned(F) and done wrong.(G) We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away(H) from your commands and laws.(I) 6 We have not listened(J) to your servants the prophets,(K) who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes and our ancestors,(L) and to all the people of the land.
7 “Lord, you are righteous,(M) but this day we are covered with shame(N)—the people of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, both near and far, in all the countries where you have scattered(O) us because of our unfaithfulness(P) to you.(Q) 8 We and our kings, our princes and our ancestors are covered with shame, Lord, because we have sinned against you.(R) 9 The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving,(S) even though we have rebelled against him;(T) 10 we have not obeyed the Lord our God or kept the laws he gave us through his servants the prophets.(U)
Hebrews 2:10-18
New International Version
10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists,(A) should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered.(B) 11 Both the one who makes people holy(C) and those who are made holy(D) are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.[a](E) 12 He says,
“I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters;
in the assembly I will sing your praises.”[b](F)
13 And again,
And again he says,
14 Since the children have flesh and blood,(I) he too shared in their humanity(J) so that by his death he might break the power(K) of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil(L)— 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear(M) of death. 16 For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants.(N) 17 For this reason he had to be made like them,[e](O) fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful(P) and faithful high priest(Q) in service to God,(R) and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.(S) 18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.(T)

John 12:44-50
New International Version
44 Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me.(A) 45 The one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me.(B) 46 I have come into the world as a light,(C) so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.
47 “If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.(D) 48 There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them(E) at the last day. 49 For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me(F) to say all that I have spoken. 50 I know that his command leads to eternal life.(G) So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”(H)
