The Triumphal Entry(A)
28 When He had said this, (B)He went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. 29 (C)And it came to pass, when He drew near to [a]Bethphage and (D)Bethany, at the mountain called (E)Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples, 30 saying, “Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here. 31 And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it?’ thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.’ ”
32 So those who were sent went their way and found it just (F)as He had said to them. 33 But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, “Why are you loosing the colt?”
34 And they said, “The Lord has need of him.” 35 Then they brought him to Jesus. (G)And they threw their own clothes on the colt, and they set Jesus on him. 36 And as He went, many spread their clothes on the road.
37 Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to (H)rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, 38 saying:
(I)“ ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!’
(J)Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
39 And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.”
40 But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, (K)the stones would immediately cry out.”
Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem
41 Now as He drew near, He saw the city and (L)wept over it, 42 saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this (M)your day, the things that (N)make for your (O)peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43 For days will come upon you when your enemies will (P)build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, 44 (Q)and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and (R)they will not leave in you one stone upon another, (S)because you did not know the time of your visitation.”
Jesus Cleanses the Temple(T)
45 (U)Then He went into the temple and began to drive out those who [b]bought and sold in it, 46 saying to them, “It is written, (V)‘My house [c]is a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a (W)‘den of thieves.’ ”
47 And He (X)was teaching daily in the temple. But (Y)the chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people sought to destroy Him, 48 and were unable to do anything; for all the people were very attentive to (Z)hear Him.

88 O Lord, (B)God of my salvation,
I have cried out day and night before You.
2 Let my prayer come before You;
[b]Incline Your ear to my cry.
3 For my soul is full of troubles,
And my life (C)draws near to the grave.
4 I am counted with those who (D)go[c] down to the pit;
(E)I am like a man who has no strength,
5 [d]Adrift among the dead,
Like the slain who lie in the grave,
Whom You remember no more,
And who are cut off from Your hand.
6 You have laid me in the lowest pit,
In darkness, in the depths.
7 Your wrath lies heavy upon me,
And You have afflicted me with all (F)Your waves. Selah
8 (G)You have [e]put away my acquaintances far from me;
You have made me an abomination to them;
(H)I am shut up, and I cannot get out;
9 My eye wastes away because of affliction.

11 Shall Your lovingkindness be declared in the grave?
Or Your faithfulness in the place of destruction?
12 Shall Your wonders be known in the dark?
And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
13 But to You I have cried out, O Lord,
And in the morning my prayer comes before You.
14 Lord, why do You cast off my soul?
Why do You hide Your face from me?
15 I have been afflicted and ready to die from my youth;
I suffer Your terrors;
I am distraught.
16 Your fierce wrath has gone over me;
Your terrors have [g]cut me off.
17 They came around me all day long like water;
They engulfed me altogether.

And my acquaintances into darkness.
