Christ on a White Horse

11 (A)Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, (B)a white horse. And He who sat on him was called (C)Faithful and True, and (D)in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 (E)His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. (F)He [a]had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 (G)He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called (H)The Word of God. 14 (I)And the armies in heaven, (J)clothed in [b]fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now (K)out of His mouth goes a [c]sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And (L)He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. (M)He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And (N)He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:

(O)KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS.

The Beast and His Armies Defeated

17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, (P)“Come and gather together for the [d]supper of the great God, 18 (Q)that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, [e]free and slave, both small and great.”

19 (R)And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. 20 (S)Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and (T)those who worshiped his image. (U)These two were cast alive into the lake of fire (V)burning with brimstone. 21 And the rest (W)were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. (X)And all the birds (Y)were filled with their flesh.

Satan Bound 1,000 Years

20 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, (Z)having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of (AA)the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and (AB)set a seal on him, (AC)so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.

The Saints Reign with Christ 1,000 Years

And I saw (AD)thrones, and they sat on them, and (AE)judgment was committed to them. Then I saw (AF)the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, (AG)who had not worshiped the beast (AH)or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they (AI)lived and (AJ)reigned with Christ for [f]a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such (AK)the second death has no power, but they shall be (AL)priests of God and of Christ, (AM)and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Satanic Rebellion Crushed(AN)

Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out (AO)to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, (AP)Gog and Magog, (AQ)to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. (AR)They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone (AS)where[g] the beast and the false prophet are. And they (AT)will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

The Great White Throne Judgment

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face (AU)the earth and the heaven fled away. (AV)And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, (AW)small and great, standing before [h]God, (AX)and books were opened. And another (AY)book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged (AZ)according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, (BA)and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. (BB)And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then (BC)Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. (BD)This is the second [i]death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life (BE)was cast into the lake of fire.

Happy Is He Who Keeps the Law

29 He(A) who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck,
Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

When the righteous [a]are in authority, the (B)people rejoice;
But when a wicked man rules, (C)the people groan.

Whoever loves wisdom makes his father rejoice,
But a companion of harlots wastes his wealth.

The king establishes the land by justice,
But he who receives bribes overthrows it.

A man who (D)flatters his neighbor
Spreads a net for his feet.

By transgression an evil man is snared,
But the righteous sings and rejoices.

The righteous (E)considers the cause of the poor,
But the wicked does not understand such knowledge.

Scoffers (F)set a city aflame,
But wise men turn away wrath.

If a wise man contends with a foolish man,
(G)Whether the fool rages or laughs, there is no peace.

10 (H)The bloodthirsty hate the blameless,
But the upright seek his [b]well-being.

11 A fool vents all his (I)feelings,[c]
But a wise man holds them back.

12 If a ruler pays attention to lies,
All his servants become wicked.

13 The poor man and the oppressor have this in common:
(J)The Lord gives light to the eyes of both.

14 The king who judges the (K)poor with truth,
His throne will be established forever.

15 The rod and rebuke give (L)wisdom,
But a child left to himself brings shame to his mother.

16 When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increases;
But the righteous will see their (M)fall.

17 Correct your son, and he will give you rest;
Yes, he will give delight to your soul.

18 (N)Where there is no [d]revelation, the people cast off restraint;
But (O)happy is he who keeps the law.

19 A servant will not be corrected by mere words;
For though he understands, he will not respond.

20 Do you see a man hasty in his words?
(P)There is more hope for a fool than for him.

21 He who pampers his servant from childhood
Will have him as a son in the end.

22 (Q)An angry man stirs up strife,
And a furious man abounds in transgression.

23 (R)A man’s pride will bring him low,
But the humble in spirit will retain honor.

24 Whoever is a partner with a thief hates his own life;
(S)He [e]swears to tell the truth, but reveals nothing.

25 (T)The fear of man brings a snare,
But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be [f]safe.

26 (U)Many seek the ruler’s [g]favor,
But justice for man comes from the Lord.

27 An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous,
And he who is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.
