And it came to pass on the day that Moses had fully set up the tabernacle, and had anointed it and sanctified it and all the instruments thereof, both the altar and all the vessels thereof, and had anointed them and sanctified them,

that the princes of Israel, heads of the house of their fathers, who were the princes of the tribes and were over those who were numbered, offered.

And they brought their offering before the Lord: six covered wagons and twelve oxen — a wagon for two of the princes and for each one an ox; and they brought them before the tabernacle.

And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,

“Take it from them, that they may be to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; and thou shalt give them unto the Levites, to every man according to his service.”

And Moses took the wagons and the oxen, and gave them unto the Levites.

Two wagons and four oxen he gave unto the sons of Gershon, according to their service;

and four wagons and eight oxen he gave unto the sons of Merari, according to their service, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

89 And when Moses had gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with Him, then he heard the voice of One speaking unto him from the mercy seat that was upon the ark of Testimony, from between the two cherubims; and He spoke unto him.

And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,

“Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him: ‘When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.’”

And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the Lord commanded Moses.

And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold; unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work. According unto the pattern which the Lord had shown Moses, so he made the candlestick.

And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,

“Take the Levites from among the children of Israel and cleanse them.

And thus shalt thou do unto them to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.

Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin offering.

And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation, and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together.

10 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the Lord, and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites.

11 And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the Lord for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the Lord.

12 And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks, and thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering unto the Lord to make an atonement for the Levites.

13 And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the Lord.

14 Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be Mine.

15 And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and thou shalt cleanse them and offer them for an offering.

16 For they are wholly given unto Me from among the children of Israel, instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel have I taken them unto Me.

17 For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are Mine, both man and beast. On the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for Myself.

18 And I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the children of Israel.

19 And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation and to make an atonement for the children of Israel, that there be no plague among the children of Israel when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.”

20 And Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel did to the Levites according unto all that the Lord commanded Moses concerning the Levites; so did the children of Israel unto them.

21 And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the Lord, and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.

22 And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron and before his sons. As the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.

23 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,

24 “This is what applies unto the Levites: From twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.

25 And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof, and shall serve no more,

26 but shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites concerning their charge.”

21 And He said unto them, “Is a candle brought to be put under a basket or under a bed, and not to be set on a candlestick?

22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was anything kept secret, but that it should be revealed.

23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.”

24 And He said unto them, “Take heed what ye hear. With what measure ye mete it shall be measured to you; and unto you that hear shall more be given.

25 For he that hath, to him shall be given; and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.”

26 And He said, “So is the Kingdom of God as if a man should cast seed into the ground,

27 and should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring up and grow, he knoweth not how.

28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself: first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.

29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.”

30 And He said, “To what shall we liken the Kingdom of God? Or with what comparison shall we compare it?

31 It is like a grain of mustard seed which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that are in the earth.

32 But when it is sown, it groweth up and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches, so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.”

33 And with many such parables He spoke the Word unto them, as they were able to hear it;

34 but without a parable spoke He not unto them. And when they were alone, He expounded all things to His disciples.

35 And that same day, when the evening had come, He said unto them, “Let us pass over unto the other side.”

36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took Him even as He was in the boat; and there were also with Him other little boats.

37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was now full.

38 But He was in the hind part of the boat, asleep on a pillow; and they awoke Him and said unto Him, “Master, carest thou not that we perish?”

39 And He arose, and rebuked the wind and said unto the sea, “Peace, be still.” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

40 And He said unto them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith?”

41 And they feared exceedingly and said one to another, “What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
