11 But now [in this time since you began to build] I will not treat the remnant of this people as in the former days,’ declares the Lord of hosts. 12 ‘For there the seed will produce peace and prosperity; the vine will yield its fruit, and the ground will produce its increase, and the heavens will give their dew. And I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit and possess all these things. 13 And as you have been a curse among the nations, O house of Judah (Southern Kingdom) and house of Israel (Northern Kingdom), so I will save you, that you may be a blessing. Fear not; let your hands be strong.’(A)

14 “For thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Just as I planned to do harm to you when your fathers provoked Me to wrath,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘and I did not relent, 15 so I have again planned in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Do not fear!

12 “The seed will grow well, the vine will yield its fruit,(B) the ground will produce its crops,(C) and the heavens will drop their dew.(D) I will give all these things as an inheritance(E) to the remnant of this people.(F) 13 Just as you, Judah and Israel, have been a curse[a](G) among the nations, so I will save(H) you, and you will be a blessing.[b](I) Do not be afraid,(J) but let your hands be strong.(K)

14 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Just as I had determined to bring disaster(L) on you and showed no pity when your ancestors angered me,” says the Lord Almighty, 15 “so now I have determined to do good(M) again to Jerusalem and Judah.(N) Do not be afraid.
